Well, the project start is pushed back a day…so hopefully tomorrow!
But it’s probably best anyway, since I’m still reeling from my trip to Petals from the Past. {Easily overwhelmed by awesome.} I went in for a peach tree…and I came out with slightly more than a peach tree. But they could put just about anything under this wisteria and I would buy it.
I should back up a minute…driving to the shop, the last little stretch before you turn…I think I saw a sign. Well, I did, actually, see a sign. A literal sign. That I hope isn’t a metaphorical sign for my imminent future with this project:
I laughed pretty hard. And then I u-turned into the gas station to take a picture. Because, yes indeed, there is likely a very bumpy road ahead for me.
I promise to stop musing now and just show the pictures.
The staff was very helpful and put up with all of my dumb questions.
I did buy a peach tree. {Among other things…ahem.}
I settled on the “harvester” variety, since I wanted freestone, red flesh. And I spoke softly to it all the way home and played it some Taylor Swift. Only time will tell if it’s more of a classic rock fan.
