Ah, summer. That time of year when very specific additives are incorporated into the pool water.
Last night we ate some life-changing green beans. I think I was annoying David because I kept saying WOWTHESEARESOGOOD.
I’m going to need him to fully appreciate how much better those green beans tasted. I think I will go wake him up and ask them if he remembers them.
Does food just taste better when you coax it out of the ground? Either that or it’s all the fertilizer exposure of late. I’ll let you know if I start glowing fluorescent. But the bitties would probably appreciate that.

Updates from here:
The sunflower case has picked up a lead. That lead is in the form of a squirrel that was literally stalking my porch this afternoon. I went outside to shoo it away and realized MORE SUNFLOWER LEAVES WERE CHOMPED RIGHT OFF. Cuss word. Since I really don’t think any type of caterpillar muncher is making it up to my patio {right?}, my money is on the rat-cousin.
Also: I was taking some pictures late this afternoon and thought wow that blackberry bush is looking healthy. Wait a second…those aren’t blackberry leaves…THE PUMPKINS ARE TAKING OVER.
Sorry it’s not so hot of a shot…apparently I need my eyes checked because a ton of my shots turned out blurry. This was the best that survived the delete button.
BUT what I’m attempting to demonstrate here is that the pumpkins are turning into big ‘ole bullies. They had threaded themselves in and through one blackberry bush and made quick work of latching right on.
Think I’ll have any pathway left by the end of summer?
Ah, who cares. Charlie Brown will be totes jelly–my yard will be a pumpkin patch!
