There hasn’t been a whole lot of gardening going on over here. But school is about to start.
We own this neat-o clock that lets bitty E know when she can come downstairs by turning green. David says I’m waiting on my light to turn green.
In the yard the beds need to be tidied up, the massive quantities of basil need to be made into batches of pesto, I might try my hand at freezing some okra, and I still haven’t started the fall crops…there’s lots to do.
In other news we took the dog to the vet because was getting sick more frequently. Turns out it was pancreatitis and while the vet did cast an accusatory eye toward the bitties who were sitting so sweetly on his people-sized bench in the exam room, every member of our family was to blame. (Re: table food.)
So the dog is totally off the table food and now eating drama-free as a normal dog should, twice a day, and immediately when we put her food down. It’s a revelation. And I now feel as if I am adequately parenting at least one of my children.
Take that, Bob Barker.
