Bitty G is into that stage of toddlerhood where the opening and closing of doors is novelty. This means that a simple trip from the kitchen to the closet is often marked by the realization that three doors have been closed behind me while I thought I was just getting a different pair of shoes. Ever walked up onto a door you *thought* you had just left open? Ever almost slammed your face into that door on accident because you were looking down at your recently changed shoes?
Yeah, me too. Every day of my life right now.
I can hear her devious little giggle in my head every time it happens. I am fully convinced that she has swiped this giggle from Monsters, Inc.
So: just call me Roz.
Guess what door feels wide open in my face right now?
THE ONE TO SPRING.
I’m rounding out my seed purchasing–the last of them arrived by winged unicorn mail yesterday. My friend Cammie watched me open the mailer and I watched her back away veeeeery sloooooowly so as to not let the dork rub off on her.
It’s been really fun planning this year. {Still} don’t exactly know what I’m doing, but it’s easy to be full of hope from this vantage point. I can’t wait.
I once photographed a very newborn bitty G in this chair, so the significance of this image will not be lost on David. High five.
Knock, knock, spring. It’s time to open up. Bitty G’s at preschool now, so if you’ll excuse me, I think it’s a safe time to change my shoes.
